A Heart Afire by Zalman Schacter-Shalomi and Netanel Miles-Yepez

A Heart Afire is an intimate, guided tour of many of the lesser-known and previously unpublished stories and teachings of the first three generations of Hasidism, especially those of the Ba’al Shem Tov; his heirs (boh male and female); and the students of his successor, the Maggid of Mezritch.

The authors have intended this work for seekers of any spiritual or religious orientation. Though the content is drawn from Hasidic Jewish literature, the interpretations and commentaries are infused throughout with Buddhist, Hindu, and Sufi corollaries. But the book will be of special interest to Jews, especially those sympathetic to the Jewish Renewal Movement.
